CURT ADKINS - CRAFTSTAR HOMES
Curt has been employed with the Craftmark Group for ten years. He is an officer for the company and serves as Vice President/Division Manager for Craftstar Homes, directing Sales, Marketing and Construction. Curt previously was a Vice President of Construction for Michael T. Rose and began his career with NVHomes, where he was employed for over ten years. As a twenty-plus year veteran of the homebuilding industry, his background includes project management, production management, sales, marketing, and operations. His product knowledge includes small singles through million-dollar-plus custom singles, townhomes, condominiums, and light commercial. Curt also serves on the MAME Sales and Achievement Committee. He served as HBCF's President for two years in 2004 and 2005.

MARK BARBERICH - CHARLESTON HOMES
Prior to joining the executive team of Charleston Homes, Mark was the Executive Vice President and Director of Home Building Services for Bozzuto Homes, Inc. (BHI) and had directed Bozzuto Homes's operational activity since 1997. Prior to joining BHI, he has held several positions during his ten-year tenure with Ryland Homes, including Construction Manager, Purchasing Manager and Production Manager for the Washington Division. He has also served as Construction Manager with General Homes, overseeing the construction of luxury single family homes. Mr. Barberich also serves on the Pros Awards committee for MNCBIA and is a member of the Curriculum Advisory Board for Frederick Community College.

HUGH CARROLL - RIGGS, COUNSELMAN, MICHAELS & DOWNES
Hugh Carroll is a Senior Vice President with Riggs, Counselman, Michaels & Downes. Prior to joining RCM&D, he was Vice President at CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services, Inc. Hugh is a third generation native of Washington, DC. He has devoted his efforts to the understanding of the insurance needs of US domestic and international companies. His clients have included technology companies, non-profits, educational institutions, wholesalers, manufacturers, processors, construction companies, real estate developers and historic homes. Hugh is involved in a variety of Community and International organizations. He is currently on the board of the Wellness Community of Greater Washington, DC devoted to Cancer support, education and hope. He has served in the past as the DC Chairperson of Cooperation Ireland, a peace building charity serving the entire island of Ireland. He is the past senior Co-chair of the Parents Club of Georgetown Preparatory School and has chaired Elementary School Principal Search Committees for the Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, DC. Mr. Carroll joined the Home Builders Care Foundation Board in January 2007.

LIZA BOWLES - NEWPORT PARTNERS LLC
Liza K. Bowles is the General Manager of Newport Partners. Over the past three years, Ms. Bowles has had primary responsibility for technology roadmapping efforts for the Department of Housing and Urban Development on Information Technology and Whole House and Building Process Redesign; lead responsibility on a military family housing project; as well as a variety of market research and strategic planning for private sector clients. A current focus is developing a Concept Home to showcase the future of housing technology. Ms. Bowles has substantial experience as a speaker and author of numerous publications. She has served on numerous committees and boards including the National Institute of Building Science. Previous employment includes: President of the NAHB Research Center from 1991 to 2002, Office of Community Planning and Development, HUD and Staff to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Mary Washington College and a Masters in Urban Affairs from VA Tech. She joined the HBCF Board in January 2007.

MARY FERTIG - APEX COMPANIES LLC
Mary is Division Manager of Apex Engineering, a part of Apex Environmental, Inc. Apex provides full land planning, site engineering, landscape architecture, and environmental site assessment and remediation services to developers; home builders; property managers; attorneys; local, state, and federal governments; and utility and telecommunications companies. Over the course of 25 years in land development, Mary has managed numerous projects ranging in size from single building office sites to major, nationally recognized planned unit developments such as King Farm. Active in several organizations and committees within the builder community, she also serves as chairperson for Olney Kids Care, which identifies and organizes community service projects for elementary age school children.

MILES HABER - MONUMENT CONSTRUCTION, INC.
Miles Haber, President of Monument Construction, Inc., is a builder and management consultant to the real estate and construction industries. Mr. Haber has over 35 years experience, having built more than 20,000 multifamily homes and over one million square feet of commercial space. During his career, Mr. Haber has had full management responsibility for a variety of development and construction organizations, including two national developers of apartment homes. He has served as the Chairman of the Construction ,Codes and Standards Committee of the National Association of Home Builders, as a Director of the NAHB Research Center, as a Trustee of NAHB's Multifamily Council and as Chairman of the Council's Fair Housing Accessibility/ Construction and Codes Subcommittee.

CECILIA HODGES - PROVIDENT BANK
Cecilia is the Managing Director of Real Estate for Provident Bank with responsibility for the Washington Metro and Central Virginia markets. She has over twenty years experience in the real estate industry and is responsible for residential land acquisition, development and construction lending to homebuilder clients in addition to commercial real estate construction and permanent loans for commercial developers. She has also served as a co-chair of Provident Bank’s United Way campaign. Cecilia has been a board member of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and was chairman of the real estate finance committee. In 2008, she also became a board member of both the HomeAid Northern Virginia chapter and the MNCBIA. This is her fourth year on the HBCF Board of Directors.
