JAMES KETTLER - KETTLER BROTHERS HOMES LLC
Jim is the owner and operator of Kettler Brothers, focused primarily on land development and new home construction throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. Mr. Kettler also owns and operates Hidden Valley Resort in Somerset, Pa., a four seasons ski and golf resort with conference facilities. He has served on a number of committees and the Board of Directors of the MNCBIA and is also a member of the Frederick County Builders Association, Northern Virginia BIA and the DCBIA as well as the American Institute of Architects. He has served as the MNCBIA’s Vice-President for Washington D.C. for the past 3 years. This year, he was installed as the Association's 2005 President.

JOHN LAVERY - MID-ATLANTIC BUILDERS, INC.
John Lavery is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mid-Atlantic Builders, an award-winning builder based in Rockville. He is a member of the MAME Awards Committee, sponsored by the Washington Metropolitan Sales and Marking Council. In 2005-2006, Mr. Lavery served as builder captain for a multiple-apartment renovation project for the Transitional Housing Corporation in Washington DC.

RICHARD MACDONOUGH - FRASER FORBES
Richard MacDonough directs the Fraser Forbes Maryland and Washington, DC operations. He is responsible for all agents' activities and guides new agent hiring and training. In less than five years with Fraser Forbes, Richard has been involved in the deals for thousands of residential units. Richard worked in state politics, practiced law and was a management consultant between San Diego, California and Washington, before his successful move to business development in the DC metropolitan area. In addition to his juris doctor degree, he earned a Master of Laws degree with an international law and business concentration from the University of San Diego. Mr. MacDonough was a member of the city of College Park's Economic Development Plan Advisory Panel. He also was head varsity lacrosse coach and an assistant at St. John's College High School in Northwest Washington. Richard lives in Rockville with his wife and three children.

PETER MCKENNA - BEERS and CUTLER, PLLC
Peter McKenna is a Partner and in charge of Tax Services at Beers & Cutler. His 21 years of public accounting experience includes three years as Vice president and Chief Financial Officer for a diversified real estate business where he had overall management responsibilities for both financial aspects and operations. At Beers & Cutler, Pete continues to specialize in providing accounting, tax and business advice to real estate industry clients including land developers, property management, mortgage banking, homebuilders, owner/developers and investors in all types of properties. Pete received his masters in accounting from Georgetown University and his undergraduate from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the DC Building Industry Association, MNCBIA, NVBIA, Anne Arundel Trade Council and the GWSCPA where he was chairman of the State Tax Committee from 1988-89. He is active in many community affairs, and is a graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel.

PETER ROBERTSON - RYAN HOMES, Inc.
Peter Robertson is the General Manager for Ryan Homes's Suburban Maryland Division. He has also served as a production manager and a cost manager with Ryan's Southern Maryland Division. Peter holds an engineering degree from Pennsylvania State University. He joined HBCF's board of directors in 2005. In 2007, Peter was instrumental in a undertaking a highly successful extensive kitchen remodel for one of our beneficiaries. Thanks to his leadership, the project was completed in one week, providing minimal disruption to the disabled residents of the group home.

R. MARK TAYLOR - LYNCH DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS
Mark has been involved in real estate development and construction for approximately 30 years. Prior to his current position with the Jair Lynch Companies, Mark was with Bozzuto Homes and responsible for home building operations for Northern Virginia, Washington D.C. and Prince George's County, Maryland. Prior to relocating to the Washington area and joining The Bozzuto Group he owned his own development companies in Colorado. These companies did a wide spectrum of work that included a notable volume of affordable housing development with tax credit and other government subsidy programs as well as a significant focus on urban revitalization and historic preservation. He has served on the boards of several homeless related non-profit organizations including the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (the State of Colorado's primary Homeless Advocacy Group), Renaissance Housing Corporation (a non-profit transitional housing developer) and For Children Only (a non-profit volunteer services organization for at-risk children).

PATRICIA BERENS KANE - HBCF MANAGER
In 2002, Patti became the Manager for the Home Builders Care Foundation. In her role, she is responsible for planning and implementing shelter-related projects and fundraisers as well as serving as a liaison to HBCF's client beneficiaries and non-profit care providers. Part of Ms. Kane’s seventeen years of experience in the non-profit sector include serving as Director of Programs for the Women’s Business Center and Director of Counseling for the American Woman’s Economic Development Corporation, both entrepreneurial training and small business support centers in Washington DC. She has also served in the Jesuit Volunteer Corp, where she worked as Assistant Director for the Atlanta Georgia’s Midtown Ecumenical Assistance Center, which provided financial and rent assistance, services and advocacy to the working poor and homeless. In 2007, Patti expanded her duties to also serve as Manager of HBCF's new subsidiary - HomeAid DC LLC.

SUSAN MATLICK - MNCBIA EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT
Susan J. Matlick, CAE has served as Executive Vice President of the MNCBIA since 1975. She was the 1987 recipient of the MNCBIA Milton Kettler Award for outstanding contributions to the association, industry and community and is also the 1987 recipient of the NAHB Executive Officers Council Seldon Hale Award for outstanding management achievement. She serves on the Boards of the Prince George's Foundation for Automotive and Construction Technical Skills, and the Financial Services Corporation in Prince George's County, is a 1988 graduate of Leadership Washington, and is a lay member of the Attorney Grievance Commission Inquiry Committee of Maryland. She served as 2002 President of the NAHB Executive Officers Council (EOC) and currently serves as an appointee of the EOC President.
