On September 24 at Lone Oak Farm Brewing, the exceptional team from Elm Street Development was honored with the Home Builders Care Foundation's 2025 Robert L. Mitchell Founders Award!
The Founders Award recognizes a lifetime of leadership and commitment to community and charitable service and is our charity’s highest honor. The award was presented at HBCF’s annual Bull & Oyster Roast, our charity’s signature celebratory event. Proceeds from the event will support Home Builders Care and its charitable construction program. The leaders of Elm Street understand the value of HBCF’s mission of giving back to community. Founded in 1977, Elm Street Development has grown into one of the region’s largest privately-owned developers. Over the last four decades, they have developed over 350 distinguished communities with more than 70,000 homes. The entire team from Elm Street not only live and work locally, but they are also deeply invested in the long-term viability of the communities they develop. Members of the Elm Street team have served in leadership positions within the Maryland Building Industry Association as well as have stepped up time and again to directly assist Home Builders Care with their invaluable time, money and expertise. We are very excited to recognize Elm Street for their long-standing commitment to Home Builders Care, especially as we continue to celebrate 40 years of charitable service. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at our 2025 event! The work we do all year long would not be possible without YOU. From purchasing tickets to sponsoring tables, to spreading the word, your support allows us to continue to do our charitable construction projects! Click here for a list of our 2025 Sponsors. PHOTOS from the event will be available soon.
