HOME BUILDERS CARE FOUNDATIONHome Builders Care Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides donated construction expertise to other non-profits that provide shelter. We are the official charity of the Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA).
Our core activities bring together two key stakeholder groups in our communities -
With each project, we invest in our non-profit partners’ program efforts via our in-kind contributions of construction services and they in turn invest in the continuation and expansion of services to help keep vulnerable populations safely housed and on the path to stability. From simple renovations to large builds, we are able to save our non-profit partners thousands in construction costs through the power of Builders Giving Back. Potential new projects are evaluated regularly by the HBCF Board of Directors. How Can We Help You? Tell us about your Nonprofit and its construction needs. |

THE BELIEVE IN TOMORROW CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION
provides exceptional hospital and respite housing services to critically ill children and their families. The long-awaited renovation and addition to a property on the ocean block of 65th Street is well underway, thanks to the efforts of generous contractors, businesses, and local residents who are supporting the construction of the new addition to the Believe In Tomorrow Children’s House By The Sea. MBIA member Bob Purcell of Beachwood Inc. is serving as general contractor with many other MBIA members - such as 84 Lumber, Beazer Homes, Stanley Martin Homes, Chesapeake Plumbing and more are stepping up in a big way to make an impact. It's our Marquee Project of 2024! |
SPRING DELL CENTER
is a Southern Maryland nonprofit dedicated to assisting adults with disabilities in achieving their highest level of independence by providing support and employment opportunities for the quality of life they desire. They seek to create an inclusive community for all! In April 2024, HBCF staff went to LaPlata MD to see David's new apartment! Thanks to an HBCF Turn Key Project Grant to Spring Dell Center, a new unit of supportive housing was made available to its new resident. Welcome Home David! The project grant helped build a new set of covered stairs to help make David's apartment entrance safer and more welcoming. Small projects can make a huge difference.
