Help Us Build Two New Accessible Homes in Westminster
THE PROJECT The Home Builders Care Foundation, along with Habitat Carroll County, is assisting The ARC of Carroll County with the construction of two state-of-the-art accessible and affordable houses for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Carroll County.
PROJECT LOCATION The two homes are located at 200 Snowfall Way and 201 Snowfall Way in Westminster MD. The lots were donated by the City of Westminster and building permits are secured.
BIDS WANTED The team is currently seeking bids for work as well as in-kind donations and discounts - for the two houses. Please see above house plans for specific details. Each house is a mirror of each other. DONATIONS of Materials and Other Items Greatly Appreciated Current Bid Opportunities: May 2026. Excavation work began late April 2026. Download PDFs below.
GRANT FUNDING REQUIREMENTS The ARC Carroll County received two Legislative Bond Initiatives (LBIs) under the Maryland Consolidated Capital Bond Loan. The state's funding rules calls for bid requirements, spending limitations and other obligations that apply to these bond grants.
The ARC project needs to receive multiple bids on the project. As this is a charity project, in-kind donations and discounts most welcome.
