It is with great pleasure that the Home Builders Care Foundation’s board of directors announces that Mr. Ronny Salameh, the President and CEO of DRB Group, will be honored with our charity’s 2026 Robert L. Mitchell Founders Award!  

DRB Group, building as DRB Homes, is the 3rd largest private builder in the nation and builds in 14 states and 35 metro markets. They are headquartered locally in Gaithersburg and a strong supporter of our charity’s mission of giving back through charitable construction.  Mr. Salameh, who is known for his forward-thinking strategic insights and market analysis, has been instrumental in the success and growth of DRB Homes. We are thrilled to honor his ongoing commitment to community.

The Founders Award recognizes a lifetime of leadership and dedication to philanthropy and is the charity’s highest honor. The award will be presented on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at HBCF’s annual Bull & Oyster Roast at the Lone Oak Farm Brewing Co. in Olney, MD. The Roast is not only one of homebuilding’s premier networking opportunities, but it also a primary fundraising event for our charity.

Proceeds from this signature celebratory event will support the Home Builders Care program.  Since our inception over 40 years ago, HBCF has helped hundreds of nonprofits complete essential shelter-related construction projects that help the homeless and others in crisis who need safe shelter, supportive services, and a path towards stability.
