Patriot Point Open House Showcases Completion of Phase I

On August 1, 2019, Patriot Point and Home Builders Care hosted an open house to showcase completed renovation work and enjoy the activities Patriot Point offers to veterans and their families. About 50 guests enjoyed property tours, fishing, skeet-shooting, crabbing, cornhole, lawn games, good conversation and a wonderful lunch catered by a local produce stand and friends of Patriot Point.

The first phase of the Home Builders Care project at Patriot Point involved the Main House on the compound. Built in 1925 and once owned by silent movie star Clara Bow, the house needed many exterior improvements – including a complete roof replacement, as well as new decking, windows and siding. The roof and the deck (Phase I) were identified as priorities and just completed.  Many thanks to all you came out!  And a big thank you to in-kind product donors from MBIA:
