Our Giving Drives
Each year, the Home Builders Care Foundation organizes giving drives to benefit low-income children and needy families served directly by our local nonprofit community partners. Building industry members have continued to give generously during the holiday seasons and year-round.
Care PacksThrough the preparation and distribution of care packs containing both personal and nutritional items , HBCF and MBIA provide a little help for the homeless. Each assembled care pack contains not only nutritional to-go snacks but also personal sanitary items and key Helpline and Crisis Hotline information to help connect neighbors in need to community resources and assistance programs throughout Maryland.

Essentials DrivesHome Builders Care and MBIA’s Professional Women in Building Chapter also host essentials drives through the collection of career clothing items, nursery needs and other household essentials that are provided to low-income families.
Collected items are then donated to local Maryland programs such as the Success in Style, ShareBaby, and A Wider Circle. |
Holiday DrivesIn mid December at the annual President's Luncheon and Volunteer Appreciation event, as well as at additional MBIA Holiday Events, MBIA members contribute to the Home Builders Care Foundation's Holiday Giving Drive. At each event gift cards are generously donated to one of our local nonprofit partners for the benefit of low-income and homeless children and families. A different nonprofit within our Maryland service area is selected each year.
